AUV

The AUV – Autonomous Underwater Vehicle – is an underwater robotic vehicle which sails pre-defined survey plan, using an array of different sensors to map the seabed and record data about the aquatic environment.

Atlas Maridan proposes 2 types of AUVs;
1.         SeaOtter Mk II
2.         SeaWolf

SeaWolf

The SeaWolf AUV is a purpose built system for high resolution surveying in the littoral zone. The SeaWolf platform is highly specialised for providing stability under turbulent conditions. The system carries that same navigation kernel as the SeaOtter, but with different input sensors. Endurance is for 3h surveying in the basic version.

One of the key features of the SeaWolf is its ability to hover in the water column. Hovering can be conducted for an extended period of time to provide amble time to conduct marine scientific measurements. The SeaWolf AUV is suited for marine survey applications where transit, survey and return can be conducted quickly and accurately.
