AUV

The AUV – Autonomous Underwater Vehicle – is an underwater robotic vehicle which sails pre-defined survey plan, using an array of different sensors to map the seabed and record data about the aquatic environment.

Atlas Maridan proposes 2 types of AUVs;
1.         SeaOtter Mk II
2.         SeaWolf

Sea Otter MkII

The SeaOtter Mk II vehicle is a general purpose vehicle for area and line surveys.

The SeaOtter Mk II is built on the legacy of the SeaOtter Mk I vehicle, which remains in operations around the world. The SeaOtter is characterised by the flexibility of the design, which allows virtually any payload components to be connected to the system. Furthermore, the SeaOtter is equipped with a purpose-built navigation solution centred around Atlas Maridan’s AINS kernel. Pending the requirements to the survey the AUV is able to integrate LBL, USBL and SLBL updates as well as active use of payload data for navigation.
